"We were delighted with Withi-Gill, it had every facility we could possibly require; it is warm and comfortable and the views from the property - across the Bay of Ireland are wonderful. Simon is an attentive and helpful host. We had an excellent stay."

"A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!"
"We loved everything about the cottage - from the "welcome basket" full of local products to the small details such as a pair of binoculars to watch the birds from the kitchen window. The host was very quick to answer our questions/queries. The cottage has all the facilities and the comfort necessary for a great holiday.
There was nothing we did not like; honestly we cannot fault the property and host."

"Perfect Holiday Cottage"
"Super clean and comfortable cottage. We enjoyed the large lounge, with two wondows and comfy reclining seating.
The cottage is extremely well equipped, and evrything looked new, including the flooring. We loved the comfy beds and new bathroom with superb shower. Also the spacious kitchen with the beautiful sea, sky, hill and sheep views. On our last night there was the most gorgeous sunset. We found our way down to the nearby beach - nobody there but us!
The owner very kindley left us some delicious supplies. He was very responsive and helpful. The garden is very pretty and full of flowers. Lastly, the house is in a perfect location to drive to all the archaelogical sights, as well as Stromness and Kirkwall."

"Brilliantly located and equipped for a wonderful Orkney visit!"
"Brilliantly located for exploring Orkney, and very comfortable and well equipped for bunkering down to relax. Excellent communication from the owner, and i appreciated the complementary goodies and also the commitment to highlighting the art, culture and cuisine of Orkney. The garden is a beautiful bonus, and the view is fabulous (snow on the mountains one morning! Magic!)"

"Fabulous"
"The accomodation was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed, including a washing machine and a garage to keep the bikes in. We liked the location and were able to cycle to the ferry across to Hoy easily"

"Week on Orkney"
"A beautiful house, centrally located. Good contact with the manager. Upon arrival, a few local products were waiting to welcome us. If we return to Orkney, we will definitely stay at this accomodation"

"WHAT A FIND! When I was first looking for somewhere to stay in Stromness I have to admit that I was quite disappointed not to be able to find anywhere overlooking the harbour. Then I saw 'Withy Gill' listed on the website and booked for a 4 night stay in August. Having now had our holiday and wandered round Orkney and Stromness, how glad am I that I found it ! Simon the host contacted us a few times before our trip and always responded to any queries we had. The cottage itself is great, exactly as the description with lovely views over to the Hills of Hoy. The interior was immaculate and the furniture looks brand new, it is warm, cosy and somewhere I could quite happily live in with everything you need (including little extras like a welcome pack, the binoculars in the kitchen, games, reading books and snuggly throws in the living room :)) We will be returning to Orkney in the future and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else."
